STORY

From his hard-rock roots to his latest productions, Phil (born in Paris-France) has always combined his talent as a guitarist and a song-writer.

He was evolved with many bands and musical projects but the most significant to date stays ERA's first album (7 million copies sold over the world)- and several successful film soundtracks with the composer Eric Lévi.

He presents in 2003 at the Olympia in Paris a very refreshing rock musical version of the children's tale Jack et le Haricot Magique (French translation of the English fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk) which went on tour for more than 10 years.

Recently he payed a tribute to Irish guitarist Gary Moore for nearly 2 years until he decided to record his own blues-rock material.

Two albums were released: Signs in 2019 and Dancing Spirits in 2021 which both mix blues and hard-rock, PHIL MANCA is back with a new heavy-metal album LAYERS OF PAIN.

Phil Manca’s new album “Layers of Pain”, recorded in Canada, is a pure heavy metal album that draws a picture of multiple dark sides of humanity in our society.

With his trusty Les Paul in hand, he perpetuates the tradition of the guitar-heroes while offering a modern production.

This first single evokes the serial killer Richard RAMIREZ aka "Night Stalker" who was rampant in Los Angeles during the 80s.

The second one “The Race is On” is about inner fights against addictions and the last one “Layers of Pain” is about social exclusion.

Phil was member of french hard rock bands TNT & Sortilège (Mark II with ex Killer lead singer Mark B.Lay & ex Viva Barbara Schenker on keyboards). His most significant project to date stays ERA's first album (7 million copies sold over the world).
